We make MORE out of our school!

At the start of the 2026/2027 school year, our school bus project successfully launched with two initial routes: the Frankfurt route with stops in the center of Frankfurt and

a direct connection to ESRM, and the Taunus route with connections from the Oberursel, Bad Homburg, and Riedberg areas to ESRM. Specific stops, timetables, and route information can be found on the ES-Childminding website https://es-childminding.eu/schulbus/

For us as the Friends’ Association, supporting this project was a matter close to our hearts, as it helps to relieve the school parking lot, parents, and of course, the environment!

The Friends’ Association supported the acquisition of calisthenics equipment on the secondary school playground.

Calisthenics allows students to promote their health and fitness both during sports lessons and breaks. They can use various stations, including one for sit-ups and one for pull-ups, at their respective levels – from absolute beginners to competitive athletes – in a fun and easily accessible way.

It is a great pleasure to see how well the new fitness park has already been received and used!

The BAC-Ball is the most important event at the end of our children’s school journey. Nothing is more wonderful and emotional for the graduates than celebrating together with their long-time classmates, teachers, parents, and siblings after successfully passing their Baccalaureate!

The respective BAC organizing team always makes every effort to make the ball a very special event. As venue rental, catering, decorations, etc., are increasingly expensive, the S7 students – in addition to their exams – regularly conduct fundraising, including selling food & drinks at school events. Additionally, they rely on donations from parents, friends, and companies to cover the costs.

As a Friends’ Association, we have also contributed significantly to financing the BAC-Ball 2026 and look forward to supporting future cohorts in the best possible way!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 years since the first ESRM class completed their BAC!

To celebrate this occasion, the class of 2016 was invited to a first alumni reunion. Almost 40 former students came with their partners and families to “their old school” and were delighted to see familiar faces again and catch up with former classmates and teachers over a BBQ.

The event, which came about partly on the initiative of the ESRM Friends and was organized by Diane Degras and Mark Wilson, was a great success and is intended to be the first of many alumni events to come. As the Friends’ Association, we want to help further grow the ESRM alumni network. Former ESRM students are warmly invited to get in touch with us or the school to join the network.

Congratulations to students Fehmi Simsek, Luciana Schneider, and Ella Zimmerer, whose team “Breaking Limits” achieved 5th place among the German junior teams at the STEM Racing German Championships!

The goal of the STEM Racing project is the development of a high-performance racing vehicle, combined with entrepreneurial thinking, strategic implementation, and genuine teamwork. It’s not just about speed on the racetrack, but about fostering skills in technology, business, and innovation.

At ESRM, the project is supervised by Luis Botella, who advises the students on technical questions and marketing activities. The Friends’ Association, together with other corporate sponsors, financially supports the “Breaking Limits” team, enabling their participation in the competitions. On February 10, the first talk in the new “Friends Lecture Series” took place in the Secondary auditorium. At the invitation of our support association, Dr. Laura Mößle, a research associate in the Chair of Religious Education & Media Didactics at Goethe University Frankfurt, spoke on “Opportunities and challenges of social media for children and young people” and offered fascinating insights into this highly topical and ever-present subject.

The talk was met with a very positive response. In addition to discussing the benefits, risks, usage habits and legal framework for social media in Germany and other countries, Dr. Mößle also addressed numerous questions that participants were able to submit in advance of the event, such as: Which rules and boundaries make sense when using social media? Are there age groups for whom the risks are particularly high? How can parents find a healthy balance between monitoring and trust? And much more.

The ESRM Friends will continue the lecture series in the coming months with another timely topic.

At the summer festival, the choir parents expressed their sincere thanks to the choir directors for their dedicated commitment over the past school year.
With vouchers and flowers – financed from donations from the parents – they acknowledged the enthusiasm, patience, and joy with which they led the choirs.
This special type of leadership means a great deal to the children – and also to the parents.
