At the invitation of our support association, Dr. Laura M\u00f6\u00dfle, a research associate in the Chair of Religious Education &amp; Media Didactics at Goethe University Frankfurt, spoke on &#8220;Opportunities and challenges of social media for children and young people&#8221; and offered fascinating insights into this highly topical and ever-present subject. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The talk was met with a very positive response. In addition to discussing the benefits, risks, usage habits and legal framework for social media in Germany and other countries, Dr. M\u00f6\u00dfle also addressed numerous questions that participants were able to submit in advance of the event, such as: Which rules and boundaries make sense when using social media? Are there age groups for whom the risks are particularly high? How can parents find a healthy balance between monitoring and trust?
