About Us
The Friends and Supporters of the European School RheinMain (“ESRM-Friends”) was founded in October 2024 by dedicated school parents to provide optimal support for the students of ESRM through additional learning and leisure activities, extracurricular projects, and to assist the school administration and teachers.
The European School RheinMain (ESRM) is a Brussels-accredited school that follows the renowned European curriculum and is one of the most important educational institutions in the Rhine-Main area. The ESRM currently offers full-day education in German and English language sections from preschool to the European Baccalaureate. It is simultaneously a meeting place and source of inspiration for around 1,800 students and their families from 70 different nations. ESRM’s goal is to develop its students into innovative, lifelong learners through creativity, resilience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Integrity, respectful interaction, and acceptance of diversity are of utmost importance in daily school life. These ideals are the cornerstones of our school’s European and global identity.
With our commitment, we support this important work by actively engaging and financially contributing to the realization of projects. Whether existing or newly initiated endeavors – we promote them specifically and help to continuously develop the school’s profile.
All members of the ESRM-Friends work voluntarily and with great dedication. We ensure that administrative costs remain low. Transparency and responsibility are a matter of course for us, and we ensure that donated money flows specifically into projects that benefit the students of ESRM and enrich the school community.
Our association is non-profit and not bound by instructions from ESRM as a legal entity. In this trusting cooperation, it is self-evident that the ESRM-Friends follow principles that strictly adhere to the association’s purpose as defined in the statutes, selflessness, and voluntary work.
What we support
Together for MORE at school.
The ESRM Friends make it possible.
We, the ESRM-Friends, actively work to support existing projects and initiate new ideas and events. Our goal is to expand the offerings for ESRM students and their families beyond everyday school life.
We finance and organize, for example:
- Sports and cultural competitions
- Support for the rock band and musical ensemble
- Lectures for students and parents with renowned personalities on current topics
- Acquisitions to expand the schoolyard
- Student crossing guards to improve traffic situations
- Scientific projects of S6 and S7 students
We also promote and support larger school events, such as the BAC Ball, and facilitate internship searches for our children in regional companies. We are particularly concerned with supporting children who, for financial reasons, cannot participate in the school’s fee-based offerings – such as excursions, class trips, or special learning materials.
Our motto: Everything that helps our students and their parents at school can be supported and promoted.
We particularly see ourselves as complementary to the Parents’ Association, in order to promote the concerns of students and their parents through financing and/or organizational support, and work closely with the representatives of the Parents’ Association as well as with the school management and teachers of ESRM.
